KNITTING "KNOW HOW"
LEARN TO KNIT
Never picked up needles? Don't know how to begin? Then this class is for you. You'll learn to cast-on and off, knit and purl and get started on a basic scarf or cowl pattern. Left handed knitters are welcome.

EASY KNIT SHRUG
For those who know the basics or need a refresher, this class will review knitting and purling, learn various increase and decrease techniques, guide you through the mysteries of checking gauge plus how to read a pattern for knitting a simple shrug.

CREATIVE CROCHET

Never picked up a crochet hook? Don't know how to begin? Then this class is for you. In this class you will learn the basics of chaining and single crochet. You will have a simple dishcloth at the end of class.

CROCHET A SHAWL
In this 3 session classe you will create a lovely V shaped shawl, it will make a great Christmas gift or just something for yourself. You need to know crochet basics in order to take this class.

SOCKS - FROM TOE UP - KNIT
I love these! You'll learn TURKISH CAST-ON, a quick n' easy heel and a very simple cast off. The nice thing with toe up, there's not left over yarn.

There's nothing nicer than hand knit socks. Learn the fundamentals, using double pointed needles - they knit up quickly. Your choice of regular socks or a Christmas stocking.

FINGERLESS GLOVES - CROCHET
This simple ribbed pattern for fingerless gloves is one of the easiest and quickest pair of gloves you will ever make. Unisex.

SCARVES & COWLS
CABLE COWL - KNIT
Cables are easy, no need to be intimidated, you'll learn to read patterns and charts and create a cabled cowl.

You have the basics mastered. Now discover ENTRELAC – a knit technique that looks like woven fabric. First class we'll learn the technique and tricks. Second class you'll start your scarf.

CROCHETED COWL
You know the basics and are able to read a simple pattern. You will be learning various techniques of combining stitches, counting stitches, skipping stitches and more, at the end of the class you will created a beautiful lacy looking cowl.1 SESSION $25 (plus supplies)

RIBBON YARN COWL - KNIT
With Frill Seeker or Ondas plus Baby Bamboo yarn create this lovely cowl.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION FOR
CLASSES 2011
Registration: We are happy to accept registration in person, or by phone at 604-272-3824. The full fee is due at the time of registration.
Minimum Class Size: The minimum class size is three students. Two business days prior to the start of a class, registration is reviewed. In the event of insufficient registration, the class may be cancelled and you will be offered a full refund. We will notify you immediately if the decision is made to cancel.
Cancelation by Student: A store credit will be available if you give notice of cancellation 3 business days before the first class. No credit will be given for late cancellations.
Missed Classes: No credit or refund will be offered for missed classes. We will be happy to provide you with notes from a missed class but we do not offer specific makeup classes.
Class Supplies: When you register, you will be given a list of supplies needed for the class. Unless specified, class fees do not include the cost of materials. For some classes you may be required to purchase a book or pattern. This cost is not included in the class fees. Yarn for classes must be purchased at Steveston Crafts n' More.
Student Discount: If you are a member of the class, you will receive a 10% student discount on all class supplies purchased during the class session. Student discount does not apply to non-class materials.
PRIVATE LESSONS
We offer one on one lessons for all skill levels in knitting and crochet if you would prefer to have individual attention.
COST: $20 per hour/per person
